Here is an example of a candlelit winter wedding that I have photographed this year in Somerset.  The ceremony took place at St Mary the Virgin Church in Ston Easton and then the reception was held at Ston Easton Park just down the road.    http://www.stoneaston.co.uk

Last weekend I was back at Kelmarsh Hall www.kelmarsh.com in Northamptonshire to photograph a glorious Autumn wedding.  Here are a few of my favourites.

Kelmarsh Hall Wedding

Here are a few highlights from a wedding at Kelmarsh Hall www.kelmarsh.com last weekend.

On the 25th June this year I photographed a beautiful wedding held at Rockingham Castle http://www.rockinghamcastle.com.  Zara and Thomas were married in St Leonard’s Church just a short walk down the hill from the Castle.  It was a splendid ceremony and the Church looked magical with flower arrangements from the Country House Flowers team which adorned the windows and there were 2 urns either side of the alter. http://countryhouseflowers.wordpress.com/  Rockingham is a very special place to the Groom as he has so many fond childhood memories there and the Castle couldn’t have looked more majestic for his wedding.  Built by William the Conqueror, it was a royal fortress for 450 years and for the last 450 years has been home to the Watson Family.  The Gardens are set among the medieval fortifications and the sun came out for everyone to enjoy the champagne drinks on the terraced lawn with it’s stunning views overlooking the Welland Valley.
I gathered the family for some more formal portraits up in the Long Gallery and was delighted when I was told that Charles Dickens had performed his own plays up there.  It was all very inspirational.  After that I took the Bride and Groom off into the Gardens for their photographs together and the some Bridal portraits in the Rose Gardens.

Here are a few of my favourites

Jenny and Hedley wanted a relaxed fun feel for their wedding day so Hedley’s family home in the village of Sutton Bassett nestled in the midst of the Welland Valley was just perfect.  They were married in the church in front of the house and then the champagne reception and marquee were in the gardens at the back.

”Thanks very much for the photos! We just got back from a slightly damp honeymoon in Sussex and it was great to find the photos on the mat when we got home!  You did such a good job!   Thanks very much!  Everyone remarked how professional and friendly you were and I am amazed at the number of photos you took when I never even noticed you were there.”  Jenny and Hedley

On the 8th of May I photographed Leicester Tigers Player George Skivington celebrate the Christening of his son Ray which was held at the Catholic Church in Market Harborough, Church of Our Lady of Victories and then to all of the families delight and surprise George and Rhiannan announced they were getting married that day aswell so it was a double celebration and the reception was held at Kilworth House in Leicestershire. http://www.kilworthhouse.co.uk/

”Thankyou for capturing our day so perfectly.  We absolutely adore the pictures and cannot wait to get some on the walls ! ”  Rhiannan, George and Ray

Here is another fine example of why I have chosen Queensberry as my album supplier http://www.queensberry.com/, this album is stunning.  It’s a 12×12 Silver Bengaline cover with Ivory pages and silver edging and protective corners.  The photographs are mounted in a simple overlay style and there is a timeless text translucent title page.

On the 26th March this year I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Dan’s wedding at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire
The ceremony took place at the church in Stanford on Avon which is just at the end of Stanford’s long drive so we didn’t have far to go and then the reception was held back at the Hall in the grand Ballroom with it’s stunning painted ceilings and fine sculpture.  There were so many fantastic opportunities for photography with the added luxury of beautiful flower arrangements by the Country House Flowers team.   http://www.acjwp.com/flowers.aspx  Here are a few of my favourites

Here are some highlights from Kate and Doug’s wedding on the 12th March.  The ceremony was held at Maidwell church and then the Reception at Rushton Hall in Northamptonshire www.rushtonhall.com

”Wow…what can I say, they look utterly amazing- you are so talented!!!  Thanks again, Kate x”

They are absolutely wonderful and can’t wait to get some printed out for friends and family.  They should be in some of the Brides magazines.  Thank you so much for making the day so memorable for Kate , Doug and the family.”

Once the Bride and Groom have had a chance to look through all the photos on their DVD it will then be time for them to decide on the favourites for their album and pick what cover they would like and a few other details.  With the final list complete I can start creating the design.  I work very closely with the Bride and Groom using a proofing software which enables us to make any changes necessary so we are happy with the album.  The design is sent off to Queensberry in New Zealand and it’s handmade by their master craftsmen http://www.queensberry.com

This is a 14×10 leather album for Rebecca and Russell.  It has white pages with white protective corners and 95 photographs that have been carefully mounted with a classic overlay, the cover is made from the most luxurious black leather and feels so soft.   They also chose a smaller parent album which is a flushmount, a perfect little photobook version of their main album to carry around to show friends.
